Mary M. Jones
Contemporary Weaver

Tapestry
Tapestry was my first and greatest love as a weaving student. In my tapestry work, I like to incorporate natural dyes and geometric elements, including strong verticals, precisely because they provide such a challenge in the medium. Through my practice, I find myself reflecting on sense of place, elevating the mundane, and playing with process.
